Josh Gracin Expecting Baby No. 4

Clay Aiken isn't the only American Idol alum who's a dad-to-be. Season four finalist Josh Gracin and his wife of seven years, Ann Marie, are expecting their fourth child together, the singer's rep tells OK! magazine. "We're all excited about the new addition to the Gracin clan," Josh says.

Their children, Briana, 6, Landon, 2, and Gabriella, 1, he adds, "can't wait to meet their new brother or sister." No word on a due date for the couple.

A former Marine, Josh, 27, finished in fourth place on Idol and has since found success in country music. His 2004 self-titled debut album was certified gold and spawned three top 5 hits. His second album, We Weren't Crazy, was released in April.

Woman unaware of pregnancy gives birth at party

Ally Ashwell of Newcastle, England, was bar-hopping — in a bumblebee costume — when she began to feel sick. She returned to her hotel room to find she was in labor, and the contractions came so fast she was forced to deliver in the hotel.

Ashwell’s baby, Owen, was born prematurely at 26 weeks, but doctors at the Lancashire hospital where he is being cared for are optimistic about his future. "It is very unusual for a baby to be born in this situation," a spokesman for Blackpool Victoria Hospital told BBC News. "I think Owen surprised us all by the progress he has made."

US life expectancy tops 78 as top diseases decline

For the first time, U.S. life expectancy has surpassed 78 years, the government reported Wednesday. The increase is due mainly to falling mortality rates in almost all the leading causes of death, federal health officials said. The average life expectancy for babies born in 2006 was about four months greater than for children born in 2005.

However, the United States continues to lag behind about 30 other countries in estimated life span, according to World Health Organization data.

Japan is No. 1 on the list, with a life expectancy of 83 for children born in 2006. Switzerland and Australia were also near the top of the list.
