Kiera Knightley: "I want to get pregnant so people will stop saying I'm anorexic"

The Pirates of the Caribbean’s Kiera Knightley said she’d like to get pregnant - but for a very odd reason: so people will stop saying that she has anorexia.

According to London-based entertainment news agency BANG Showbiz, the actress said, “That’s a good reason to have a kid. They won’t say I’m anorexic anymore ... I’ve got to have a child!”

I hope she's kidding!

I can totally relate. I am naturally small, and before pregnancy I was a vegetarian ballerina. Sitll, at the end of my 2nd trimester, people tell me I'm too little and I should take care of myself better *eyeroll* I've only gained over 30 pounds!! At least no one thinks I'm anorexic now! LoL

I completely understand but I really hope she wants to have a child to have the best gift in the world and not just for those reasons. Also, people need to get off her case. Everyone is built differently!

Are you kidding me? That's got to be the worst reason I've heard to bring a baby into the world!!!

From the way the original quote is worded it really sounds like it was meant sarcastically.

Reading the quote as she said, I think it's fairly safe to say that she was being sarcastic. While I don't have the problem of people thinking I'm anorexic, I can imagine how annoying all of those comments get. Yes, anorexia is a serious illness, but some people are naturally small!

I'm sure that when she does decide to bring a baby in the world it will be for all the right reasons.

oh come on. Those who are "naturally" small are statistically very few. If your head looks too big for your body that is NOT naturally thin. It's just the changing social ideas of what beauty is, I'm sure a lot of actresses work and sacrifice a lot of time and energy to look the way they do or they wouldn't get work at all. I recently watched Sarah Jessica Parker in Honeymoon In Vegas and too see her in Sex and the City is a complete change in her look and a lot of lbs. Either way I think she's a great actress and what they weigh isn't my business, but all these people denying what is the truth is getting really annoying.
