It's been three weeks since his blue-eyed baby debuted in this world, but Thomas Beatie – better known around the world as the Pregnant Man – can already say this about his daughter's personality: "She's easygoing and mellow and intelligent."
On June 29 at 8:55 p.m., Beatie, 34, a former female beauty pageant contestant, made cultural history as perhaps the first legally transgender male to give birth, bringing into the world a 9 lbs., 5 oz. baby girl named Susan Juliette.
"She's so precious, I just can't stop staring at her," Thomas tells People magazine in his first interview since he and wife Nancy returned with their bundle from Bend, Oregon's St. Charles Medical Center. "Just holding her is the best feeling in the world."

God gave us abilities to do almost anything with our bodies, including alteration amongst murder and hate, adultery, theft, abusing our own children, etc... With those abilities, He also gave us free will to do with them as we want. However, the answer to your question is simply that God commanded that we live our lives while forsaking those awful things, and He ordained men and women to take on specific roles for our perfect existence. What would these commands mean if He didn't also give us free will. Don't confuse abilities for moral freedom.

God didn't give him both sets of gender organs. He bought one set. I believe he was born a woman - hence the ability to carry a child. Sounds confusing to me...

As God fearing Christians you should know it is not your place to judge or assume you know God's will. If God has a problem with this man, God will handle it in the afterlife. Also some compassion for a person might be in order. There are much sicker things in this world such as child rapists and abusers, serial killers, etc. You do not have to agree with the way he lives his life but you should come to him with compassion not hatred. If he and his wife provide a loving home for their child that is better than many "normal" couples have done.

If a woman chooses to live the rest of her life as a man the judgement is up to God. However living as a man means living as a man, not living as a man who has female reproductive organs, since that would be living as a woman playing dress-up. Thank God the baby is healthy, but this couple should be ashamed of themselves for exploiting the innocent for their own benefit!

Life is beautiful no matter what, and this new family should count themselves lucky they were able to create such a beautiful baby, with 2 parents to love her and take care of her for the rest of her life. There are not many 2 parent families these days, so God has nothing to do with it, only nature.

Too many people judging this family and the decisions that this man made to have this baby. So what if he is transgender, so what if she is a he now and is a man. Only thing that should concern you is that that baby is a miracle and was born healthy and happy. Its no one concern to bible thump and preach on someone elses life. Cause in that case in the bible is also says let the man with no sin cast the first stone. And judge yea lest yea be judged. But no one likes those verses because its so easy to judge someone instead of just excepting of a miracle. Remember what you do on to people will come back to you ten fold.... the bible also says that. That beautiful baby is loved no matter who her parents are. And they are a beautiful family living with a miracle baby.
Congratulations to them. Many people want children their whole life and find it impossible to conceive. In this case, it happened and that is that. Just let them be already. I've tried for a child most of my adult life and have finally been granted the greatest gift in the world, a son who is due in 4 more weeks. So far so good, considering I was told that it would never happen. I'm proud for this family, because I know what it feels like to want and need a child to feel complete. I was born to be a parent, and maybe this man feels that way too. Lets be good people already and just congratulate the family.

That is not a man , she is a woman. Just because she SURGICALLY removed some breast tissue ans took some male hormones to get male features and hair and made only superficial outside changes does not means she has turned into a man, she still has a uterus and ovaries and a cervix and a vagina, that certainly sounds like a fertile woman to me, this is not a pregnant man. There will never be a pregnant man ever.

This could not be any further from the truth. As Christians, we are to discern the things of this world as being right or wrong based on what the Bible says about it. (Bible=God's will)
It is very "hip" nowadays to be accepting of every perverse deviation in society, but the breakdown of the family is the MAIN reason for our society morally deteriorating. Sewing a penis on does NOT make you a man, it makes you mentally DISTURBED. Quit being so P.C.!!!

And to the rest of you: the only reason this baby would have a hard and difficult life, is because of people like us. Constantly scrutinizing her parents and how she came to be in this life is going to have a way more negative effect on her than having two loving parents, no matter "what" or "who" they are, ever would. Why don't you all mind your own business, tend to your own families, and let this little girl live in peace with her parents. Two parents is always better than a single parent. She'll be extremely lovedx2. She'll be fine, God has a plan for everyone.

those of you commenting about him not doing gods wishes, you obviously don't know the full story behind it. This "man" was originally a woman. He was born female, and went through transgender surgeries.
I think it's wonderful that even though he is not :male: in the traditional sense that h was stgill willing to do this, and go through the hard times there must have been due to unaccepting people as some of theposters here.

I think people should look at their own lives before judging this couple, we all do somthing that gets us judged in our lives, why cant we just leave this new family alone and deal with our own lives!
