Congratulations to a pregnant, 60-year-old, Japanese woman! She traveled to the U.S. for a donated fertilized egg. Go Figure! I wasn't expecting to read this interesting story today! The woman plans to give birth under the care of doctor Yahiro Netsu, who is known to handle controversial pregnancies involving surrogate mothers. Netsu spoke about the women:
"She is 60 years old and single. I hesitated in my mind about whether this pregnancy should continue when I thought about the risk and the future of the child," he told reporters.Not only is it amazing that she is 60 years old and going to give birth, but this is the first case of its kind! She is making history!
It would be the first case of a single woman giving birth to a child from a donated embryo in Japan, according to Kyodo News. Fertility treatment in Japan is provided almost exclusively to married couples.The Japanese woman is reportedly in her 15th week of pregnancy and no complications have arrived as of yet. I feel blessed that my parents are younger. I'm 23 and they're 53 and 50. I have friends with older parents and they hold some resentment even though theyre parents are only like 40 years older than them. I would absolutely resent having a parent 60 years older than me. crap like this shouldn't be allowed. Just because we have the ability to do something doesn't mean we should.

I can't believe woman who are having children in their 60's! Have they thought of the future. Will they ever see their grandchildren. How fair is this to a child? I think it is wrong for any doctor in this world to even assist these women in conceiving. There are plenty of children that need to be adopted if you really want a child that bad.
