Pregnant Model Promotes "Non-Alcoholic" Beer

It's hard to give your opinion on something when it leaves you speechless. Before I noticed that this is an advertisement for NON-alcoholic beer, all I saw was a photoshop-perfected pregnant model wearing something she shouldn't be wearing and holding something she shouldn't be holding. I thought, "What could possibly be the message behind this?" Then I realized it's not an ad for regular beer but non-alcoholic, and I thought, "Oh, ok, I see what they're getting at. As a matter of fact, that's pretty clever!" Maybe they were trying to say: "Hey, look! Hot pregos can drink our beer, too!" But then I did a little research and found that the term "non-alcoholic" is a bit misleading when it comes to supposedly alcohol-free beer and wine, something I wasn't aware of during either of my pregnancies. I suppose I never thought to ask my doctor because I'm not a big drinker anyway. Still, it's something every expectant mother should know. Non-alcoholic beers and wines do contain a very small amount of alcohol (no more than .5 percent), and though researchers aren't sure what such a small amount could do to a developing baby, they recommend avoiding it altogether. That said, I think the advertising execs at this Brazilian beer company need to rethink their campaign. What do you think? Thanks to The Scene at Maternity and Style for posting it first.
